Hi, I’m Chloe
Loyola University Chicago
When I started University I chose to study graphic design and live in a brand new city. I always had been obsessed with the arts, and decided to pursue graphic design in Chicago. During my time there I worked for Loyola’s Marketing and Communication Department. Editing digital ads for different University departments, creating merchandising mock-ups, and designing and preparing files for print. I studied both design and international studies, receiving a duel degree in Visual Communication and Global & International Studies.
After college I wanted to experience the challenge of living in a completely different culture, so I left the United States to become fluent in Spanish and began freelancing as a designer.
I came back from Spain with a deep appreciation for another culture, an interest in living my life more simply, and a great sun hat. I started freelancing as a graphic designer while I lived in Spain for a small business in Akron, Ohio. Since then I have had experience creating logos & branding for clients, print and digital marketing materials, packaging design, and video/motion graphic design. I am open to any opportunity to work with a team to continue to grow as a creator.
Growing Up Creative
My mother was constantly singing or my sisters and I were running into my dad’s jewelry store watching what new piece he was crafting for his customer. I would sit at the desk in his workshop and watch him work through his creative process with the people that came into his store who wanted to make something beautiful. We were at art shows every weekend, running in between the booths and looking at big paintings and trinkets. My grandmother was a painter, sculptor, and potter. She would take us into her studio and we could just create.
Expressing ideas effectively through visual storytelling is what I’ve always wanted to do. I like to work collaboratively, freely, and boldly.
