TRIBUTE TO FRANK GEHRY
This poster was a project was inspired by modern architectural innovation as a cover of an e-magazine. In subduing the text in a subtle and modern style, I wanted Frank Gehry's Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health of the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.”
Using color to draw your eye to the building and create an emotional feeling throughout the piece, I wanted have a balanced interplay between blue, yellow, and red. The stars draw the eyes down and around through the sky to the first curve of the building. I wanted to subhead to be italicized to further emphasize that movement.
"REACHING FOR COOKIES"
This illustration was inspired by the latin phrase, "Dulcuis ex asperis", which translates to out of difficulty sweetness. I attempted to focus on realistic lighting through the use of gradients in Illustrator to show the adorable yet tumultuous journey to reach the cookie jar.
